Con una mostra collettiva Tommaso Calabro ha voluto omaggiare gli anni 70 presso la sua Galleria milanese e alcune opere di Emilio Tadini hanno contribuito a restituire lo stile di quegli anni.

Emilio Tadini (1927–2002) was a multifaceted figure in Italy’s post-war cultural landscape. A poet, novelist, essayist, and art critic, he was also a painter who brought a literary sensibility to his visual work. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Tadini’s art embraced the Pop movement, infusing it with philosophical depth and a distinctive narrative approach.
In our exhibition “Attraverso le stanze”, Tadini’s paintings along with a folding screen reveal the artist’s unique conception of space as suspended, almost theatrical. Populated by surreal atmospheres where literary references, dreamlike motifs, figures, and everyday objects converge, his works emerge from a fluid, associative process, where meaning is generated through subtle tensions between the familiar and the uncanny. The resulting images evoke a world in which narrative, intellect, and imagination coexist, inviting viewers to linger within the layered dimensions of his thought.

ATTRAVERSO LE STANZE fino a gennaio 2026
The exhibition “Attraverso le stanze” (Through the rooms) invites visitors to explore three domestic interiors, each imagined around the vision of a different type of collector. Artworks from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s will be presented in dialogue with furniture and design pieces of the time, evoking distinct atmospheres that capture the spirit of the time.
“Attraverso le stanze” is a project in collaboration with @triplef.it, archive of design, art, and cult inspirations.
